Namaste!

Welcome to Pashupati Archana Suvyawastha Pratisthan.

Nepal, a divine piece Himwatkhanda, always fascinated to the great Rishis as place for spiritual as well as civic enlightens. Its Himalayas, Rivers, Mountains, and Shrines were origin for all Dharma. From ancient period Nepal had cultivate, flourish, and consolidate all Dharma’s in Omkar family. Despite all those advantages, its instable political system and mass followers of western ideology and culture, creates distrust and gap within the citizens. In the name of modernization, Nepal face a number of challenges today most of which stem from, and relate, to the issues of peace, power and politics. Social and regional harmony, diversity management and inclusion, cultural and religious infringements are some major issues in contemporary society.

The disruption of worship of the lord Pashupatinath and BashukiNaag at Pashupati in 2008 was the tip of iceberg of such distrust and infringement. The episodes had severely hurt in the religious sentiment of billions of Vedic Hindus of the world including Nepali people.

Therefore, keeping the critical concern of ideological intervention, Shree Pashupati Archana Subyabastha Pratisthan (SPASP) has been established in 2009 to redefine and institutionalize “Dharma” which can go a long way in resolving the problems now plaguing the society. In consolidating the triangular relationship between Peace, “Dharma” and “Sanskriti”, the rich ancient heritage of history, culture, and traditions of the subcontinent can make a fundamental contribution toward harmonizing society and enhancing Vedic values playing a truly critical role in sustainable community development here.

In such a setting, the establishment of Pashupati Archana Suvyawastha Pratisthan in 2008 was the fulfillment of a long-cherished desire of a group of like-minded academic cum social activists in Kathmandu to join their hands in the new movement for the protection and preservation of Dharma. As a non-government non-profit, social service organization Pashupati Archana Suvyawastha Pratisthan, founded by Devi Prasad Chapagain for the traditional study of Sanatan Sanskriti and other classical Nepalese disciplines search for some substantial, meaningful steps in order to spearhead positive transformation of society.
